How Robbie’s Hope Grew a National Movement with BrandChamp

“I would recommend starting with an organized platform from the beginning. BrandChamp makes the experience clearer for the team running the program and for the people taking part.”

Robbie’s Hope

Client Overview

Founded in 2018, Robbie’s Hope is a nonprofit focused on teen mental health awareness and suicide prevention, helping young people speak more openly about mental health and bring practical resources into their communities. The organization has since distributed approximately 400,000 free handbooks designed to support better conversations among teenagers, parents, educators, athletes, and community members.

Since adopting BrandChamp, Robbie’s Hope has built a more consistent way to manage participation across its growing community. Here is a snapshot of the program:

  • Approximately 4,000 young people connected through Robbie’s Hope clubs and ambassador program, with participation across the United States and in several other countries.
  • Between 50 and 100 ambassadors regularly completing activities each month, compared with the smaller groups involved during the program’s early years.
  • A process that once required six or seven separate steps reduced to one or two main administrative actions, making activities, submissions, points, and rewards easier to manage.

Ambassador program

Background

Before BrandChamp, the Robbie’s Hope ambassador program lived inside Ryver, where activities, questions, submissions, and general conversation all shared the same feed.

Robbie’s Hope needed to make the program easier to navigate while giving its team a more practical way to manage a growing community.

Why BrandChamp?

Robbie’s Hope was not looking for a more complicated way to run the program. It needed a system that could give young people clear choices while reducing the coordination required behind each activity.

BrandChamp brought activities, member information, submissions, points, communication, and rewards into one place. The team could create activities in advance, schedule them for specific dates, and assign point values that reflected the time or effort involved.

The Transition to BrandChamp

Once activities moved into BrandChamp, the program stopped depending on a message thread.

After selecting an activity, an ambassador completes the work, submits the requested proof, receives points, and redeems those points for Robbie’s Hope merchandise through Shopify.

“What used to take seven steps now takes one or two. Ambassadors can complete most of the process themselves, which means much less back and forth for everyone.”

Key Program Benefits

Since moving to BrandChamp, Robbie’s Hope has improved both the way the program is managed and the way young people experience it.

  • Simpler program management: Activities, submissions, member information, points, and rewards are managed through the same platform. Ambassadors can find instructions independently, while the team can review completed work without tracking details across multiple conversations.
  • More accessible participation: Robbie’s Hope can offer community outreach, educational, online, and personal activities together. Ambassadors can begin with an opportunity that feels manageable and explore new ways to contribute as they become more familiar with the program.
  • More relevant communication: Tags help the team share information with ambassadors in a particular city, state, or region. This makes it easier to connect young people with opportunities that are relevant to where they live.

Conclusion

With BrandChamp supporting its ambassador program, Robbie’s Hope has moved from a crowded communication feed to a structured system for activities, submissions, communication, points, and rewards.

Looking ahead, Robbie’s Hope hopes to grow the program toward 8,000 or 10,000 participants over the next three to five years.

As the community expands, Robbie’s Hope can continue adding new activities and reaching new locations without losing the structure that allows each ambassador to find their place in the program.
