Overview

Initially starting in 2009 as a private label, the founders took center stage when they officially launched the Herbaland brand in 2017. “We target the 25-40 demographic, but we’re trying to expand more into older demographics as well,” Siona says.

Siona says that, at first, Herbaland’s ambassador program grew through social media, with gummy lovers messaging the brand’s Instagram account to get involved. However, it was a time-consuming manual operation.

“They were reaching out to us through Instagram, and then I believe we got enough people interested in saying, ‘Hey, we need a platform to manage this now, we can’t do this manually, we need something to help us. So we started with BrandChamp in 2019,” says Siona, who adds that newsletters and social media help recruit most ambassadors.

BrandChamp’s in-depth metrics help Siona and her team determine what’s generating sales and interest among ambassadors and then focus more on those areas.

“Every week, we look at the referral code usage, which helps us to know if our ambassadors are actually interested in our products, and the number of posts that ambassadors are posting, so we can see how engaged they are,” she says.
